Leiver Leonel Montiel Munoz, Tamara Gutierrez Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified two individuals who were pronounced dead following a collision early Tuesday morning in Elk Grove. Leiver Leonel Montiel Munoz, aged 21, and Tamara Gutierrez, also 21, both residents of Sacramento, lost their lives in the incident that occurred around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Sheldon and Waterman roads, as reported by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, Munoz was driving northbound on Waterman Road when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a light pole. Gutierrez was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle, which appeared to have wrapped around the pole, as evidenced by a photograph of the crash site.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police reports. Investigators from law enforcement believe that excessive speed may have contributed to the collision.
